The specialist engineering company has switched to using the web-based telematics solution to monitor 80 vans, cars and 4x4s, targeting improved workload scheduling, reduced customer response times and enhanced driver safety.
In particular, Ross-Shire Engineering will track its network of mobile workshops, operated by two-person teams, so appropriate resources can be allocated based on the shortest and most efficient journey times.
Ross-Shire Engineering operates across a wide geographic area in Scotland, Ireland and Wales, including remote locations in the Scottish Highlands, Orkney, Shetlands and Western Isles, and the new solution brings complete visibility of resources to ensure the safety of its staff wherever they are, especially lone workers. The company will also use Ctrack Online to monitor speeding and driver behaviour to encourage responsible and efficient driving.
Jamie MacGregor, director of Ross-Shire Engineering, commented: “We have worked closely with Ctrack to implement a tracking solution that meets our exact operational needs. This exceptional support means we can streamline our processes using the tracking service to reduce administration, while targeting service improvements now and in the future. Moving forward, we will use Ctrack Online to better coordinate ad hoc jobs and emergency works, so we can reduce lead times and meet customer SLAs.”
