Safe2Drive wins Glasgow Business Award for Best Use of Digital Technology

Road risk management business Safe2Drive has picked up the Glasgow Business Award for Best Use of Digital Technology.

L-R: Awards event official with Safe2Drive’s Sinead Moy and Allan Gibbons

The awards, run by the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, is an annual celebration of the city’s business community and all it has achieved during the last year. The awards are organised in partnership with the University of Strathclyde.

It’s the latest award for Safe2Drive, founded two years ago by industry road risk experts Allan Gibbons, Scott McLennan and Sinead Moy. The trio have harnessed their 25 years’ knowledge and experience in the automotive, insurance and technology markets to develop a standout new driving licence and grey fleet checking platform that bridges shortfalls identified in the marketplace.

Allan Gibbons, managing director of Safe2Drive, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this accolade. Digital technology is core to our business offering and allows us to offer industry-leading and innovative features and benefits to our clients.

“The business was established late 2022, which permitted us to use our many years’ experience to build digital systems from the ground up, a solution that enables us to deliver flexible and agile solutions.

“The detailed intricacies of our work are crucial to ensure businesses, and their drivers remain legally compliant and help keep our roads and road-users safe – something that no business should ever over-look.”

Other accolades since the business launched include Best Fleet & Driver Compliance Services Company 2024 in SME News’ Greater London Enterprise Awards and Best Grey Fleet & Driving Licence Checking Solution 2024 in the same publication’s UK Transport Awards 2024.
