Commenting on the findings, Selsia's marketing director, Neil Marcus said: ‘Selsia's centrally managed bodyshop network model has been running for almost five years. We have built up enough data from our excellent network of repairers to prove that we are delivering significant financial benefits for our clients in association with our authorised business partners. Our repair over replace philosophy and our ability to track and manage repairs through our system contribute towards our lower average repair costs and with no compromise on quality.
‘However, the cost of repair is only 58% of the cost of having an accident. Selsia is also delivering substantial savings from repair handling administration and reduced vehicle off road times which can account for up to 42% of the cost of a claim. Our repair cycle time of only 6 days means we can get our clients' vehicles quickly back on the road where they belong.
‘There is also good news for the van operating sector where our average repair cost for Sprinter size vans is now £848.00. With the growing demand for online shopping and home deliveries, companies operating in this sector will see substantial financial benefits when switching to Selsia,’ he added.
