Selsia speeds up accident reporting with new fleet app

Selsia has enhanced its accident reporting services for fleets with the launch of a new app.

Selsia has launched its Accident Reporting by Selsia app to make it quicker for fleet clients to report vehicle accidents

Developed to make it quicker for fleet clients to report vehicle accidents to the accident repair management company, the app is available as a free download on the App Store and in Google Play and enables car, van and HGV drivers whose companies have already registered with Selsia to contact the Selsia call centre to report an accident 24 hours a day.

The app enables full details of the accident and damage to be recorded, cutting vehicle downtime and helping to get drivers back on the roads sooner.

The app also provides accurate details of the driver’s current location, including postcode, to help with accident reporting, including if drivers need to be recovered.

Drivers can also use the app to find out about repair progress from Selsia’s Operations Team once repairs are underway.

Selsia marketing director Neil Marcus commented: “The launch of accident reporting by Selsia makes it easier and less stressful for drivers to report accidents following a road traffic incident. Considering most people carry a mobile phone with them, our app is a much quicker and more efficient way of notifying us of an accident and allows us to get every type and size of damaged vehicle into our approved network, repaired and back on the road as quickly as possible.”

Selsia’s work to cut costs for its clients and repairers has also been augmented with the switch to a new 0333 444 5500 number. This means calls to Selsia will be included in those landline or mobile phone tariffs that offer free calls to landlines at certain times of day, or with inclusive calls or bundled minutes that cover calls to landline numbers.
