Shoreham Vehicle Auctions to grow commercial arm under new appointment

Spencer will join Shoreham from Manheim where he has worked since 2005 as regional commercial manager (South) in a varied role from commanding the rostrum to developing new business in the CV market.

Spencer began his Manheim career in 2001 after originally cutting his teeth in the CV auction world at BCA in 1990 and will bring his 20-plus years of experience to Shoreham.

In his new role as commercial vehicle manager, Spencer will be tasked with growing the CV arm of Shoreham, which is already enjoying regular sales in excess of 120 vehicles per sale from local and national vendors after being established 2.5 years ago.

Shoreham currently operate van and truck sales every other Tuesday with entries included from local councils, British Gas, Enterprise Rent-a-Car and Hitachi Capital and Spencer will be managing these relationships as well as growing new ones from 1st March.

His appointment sees Spencer reunited with Shoreham managing director Alex Wright after 10 years of working together at Manheim and six years at BCA.

Wright said: ‘Tim joining represents a strong investment in our business and demonstrates our commitment to commercial vehicle auctions as well as car auctions. Tim is a trusted figure in the industry be it from buyers to leasing companies to manufacturers and will bring years of expertise, knowledge and contacts. I personally can’t wait to work alongside him again to grow Shoreham Vehicle Auction’s influence in the commercial vehicle market.’
