The company is an international supplier of construction products, which includes insulation, roofing and commercial interiors, and the nationwide deal will cover incident management, roadside assistance, third party data-capture and uninsured loss recovery for vehicles including cars, vans and light commercial vehicles.
The contract continues the firms’ existing long-term partnership for up to three years. Over the life of the contract to date, vehicle off road times have reduced by 20%, signalling better processes, more efficient repairs and cost savings for the business.
Tommy Duncombe, logistics administration manager of SIG plc, said: ‘Fleet activities can represent a major cost to businesses and through our relationship with FMG, we’ve been able to control these costs and make significant improvements to how we report and manage claims. We’re delighted to have extended our successful partnership, which will allow for further improvements to our service levels and making sure that our vehicles are on the road, providing the great service that our customers expect.’
Harvey Stead of FMG said: ‘The renewal of this contract is further endorsement of the partnership we’ve worked together on for the past two decades. SIG plc provide critical services for their customers, and making sure that their vehicles are back on the road as quickly as possible following an incident is a clear way we can help to reduce cost and increase efficiency. This is the latest in a long line of contract renewals we’ve secured over the past twelve months, which shows the trust and value placed in us by our partners.’
