Sign Language ramps up for fleet expansion

The firm is forecasting an increase of around 300% in turnover this year, following results of over £1m in 2013, with 90% of earnings from the fleet sector. Network Rail has been a major client for two years and more recently business wins have included securing contracts with AirTanker, Autoglass, Komatsu, Telent, Travelodge, UK Mail, Weblight and Zipcar.

Additionally, Lex Autolease has made Sign Language its only tier one vehicle livery and wrapping supplier and the company has officially become an approved supplier to LeasePlan. In addition, Sign Language has become an approved supplier with LeasePlan and is also working with a number of other contract hire and leasing companies.

As a result, Sign Language is recruiting eight new members of staff this year as well as expanding its existing Oxfordshire headquarters by 70% following the decision to acquire an adjoining business unit.

Managing director Tobin Jenkins said: ‘2014 will mark a sea-change in the size of the business and is a reflection of the many initiatives we have implemented over the last 24 months to gear ourselves up to meet the needs of the fleet market.’

He added: ‘We have been working for many years to establish industry-leading procedures, systems and service standards that are suitable for the fleet market. All that work is now being rewarded with the contracts that we are winning.

‘We wanted to break into the fleet market and with the quality of the contracts that we are winning and the plaudits from clients for the high quality of our work and service levels we have proved we can deliver.

‘Most of our fleet work is being won in competitive tenders and is conquest business secured from larger competitors with other work being obtained as a result of referrals from satisfied clients.’
