Sixt UK expands van and trucks business with Gap Hire acquisition

Sixt UK has acquired Gap Hire Ltd, expanding its van rental network and services significantly nationwide.

The deal significantly expands Sixt’s van rental network and services nationwide

The deal follows Sixt’s recent acquisition of Dorset Vehicle Rentals and significantly increases the firm’s overall commercial vehicle fleet.

Gap Hire provides a ‘one-stop shop’ solution, tailored to customers’ requirements and bring its years of experience and knowledge in commercial vehicle hire to bear. Its fleet of vehicles can be customised in-house to customers’ exact specifications and needs, including livery, roof racks, shelving, tow bars and telematics systems.

Sixt said new and existing clients would benefit from the combined expertise, extended network and joint focus on excellent customer service under the tie-up.

David Saint, UK senior vice president, commented: “We are committed to continuing to maximise our capabilities and bringing our customers the knowledge, expertise and quality they have come to know and expect from Sixt. The opportunities with Gap are vast and will allow us to continue to deliver on all our customers’ needs, and we are extremely excited as we look to the future following this acquisition.”
