SK Foods invests in Ctrack for advanced vehicle tracking

The company will monitor its fleet of refrigerated vans using the web-based Ctrack Online system to gain added visibility of their whereabouts and target operational improvements such as fuel savings and more jobs per day.

Departing from a central base in South Ruislip, Middlesex, the refrigerated vans are operated in two shifts up to 11pm at night within a 200 mile radius, so SK Foods needed a tracking solution that would provide peace of mind that it was meeting customer requirements. This included having access to vehicle locations and status via a mobile device to respond to any out of office hours enquiries.

Ctrack Online will allow SK Foods to have full visibility of its multi-drop operation, making sure deliveries are made on time and in the most effective manner. It will also help to identify any wastage within the fleet and enable the company to verify if the most efficient routes are being taken, with the aim of achieving time and cost savings.

Commenting on the adoption of Ctrack technology, Rumel Kamaly, sales director at SK Foods, said: “Our aim as a business has always been to eliminate the flaws of bad quality products and inconsistent delivery times provided by other suppliers. We anticipate that Ctrack Online will support this commitment, by providing the necessary insight into our fleet operation to ensure orders are delivered on-time, efficiently and in the best possible manner.”
