SME-specific camera telematics system launched at the CV Show

VUEmatics is a one-box system which records and stores video footage and driving data such as location, acceleration, braking and speed for all fleet vehicles. This means fleet owners can monitor their entire fleet from one central location.

According to VUEmatics, the solution was developed following comments VUE received from both fleet insurers and SME fleet owners. Using the system, fleet owners will be able to provide insurers with average fleet reports which will help price premiums accordingly.

Commenting on the launch, Glen Mullins, managing director of VUE, said: ‘We’ve been speaking with lots of SME fleet owners who want more than just a one camera dashboard recording device, but found the current telematics solutions are aimed at bigger fleets and too expensive for smaller businesses to consider.

‘That’s why we have developed VUEmatics, it’s a fixed fee solution which will give both SMEs and fleet insurers the insight they need to cost effectively manage the efficiency and risk of their fleet.’

VUE already works with many of the UK’s biggest commercial fleets to provide CCTV and accident recording systems. It has adapted its award winning technology and developed a solution which is suitable for smaller fleets. VUEmatics could help SME fleets manage productivity, control fuel costs, increase fleet safety and security and boost fleet sustainability through utilising camera and vehicle data.

VUEmatics will be officially unveiled at the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC, Birmingham from the 29 April to 1 May 2014 on stand 4F120. VUE will also be previewing a range of new technologies, including its VUEcloud solution and motion sensor technology.

Based in Trafford Park, Manchester, VUE has a turnover of £3 million and was awarded the Highly Commended Fleet Safety Product award at the BRAKE Fleet Safety Awards in 2013.
