Already present in the UK, Ireland and across Africa, Sprint Telematics and its associate company Edge Telematics provide fleet and asset management expertise to LCV and HGV operators plus logistics companies and bus operators, as well as other market sectors.

The partnership supports further growth of Sprint Telematics’ business and will play a major part in achieving its goal of doubling the number of units currently operational in the UK in the next fiscal year

The switch to the Key Telematics platform will also bring key benefits for Sprint Telematics customers, including the ability to access vehicle-operating data from multiple devices, such as a mobile phone, a work computer or personal laptop. Key Telematics’ SaaS platform also delivers customisable dashboards and comprehensive alert and reporting functions, integrated with fuel card data, providing full control over fleet operations. The API (Application Programming Interface) provides further flexibility on building custom features and integration with third-party solutions.

Sprint Telematics managing director, Leon Boshoff said: “We have tested many telematics platforms and Key is undoubtedly best of breed. We will now migrate all our customers to this outstanding platform.”

Key Telematics CEO, Clive Killops said the partnership was a ‘win-win’ for fleet and asset managers in the UK. He added: “Key is a technology company and our skilled development team means we are always at the cutting edge of what is available. This is evidenced by features such as integrating directly with motor vehicle manufacturers (OEM) or fuel card company integrations coupled with a powerful analytics engine.”
