SSE signs new fleet deal for Isuzu D-Max

Energy giant SSE has taken delivery of a fleet of new Isuzu D-Max pick-ups, as revealed at the 2019 CV Show.

The new SSE-branded Isuzu D-Max pick-ups will be used by the SSE team of engineers to maintain electricity networks

The company, part of SSE Group, is taking delivery of a total of 215 D-Max pick-ups, comprising utility double cabs, extended cabs and single cabs. All come with BF Goodrich Tyres to aid functionality and come in a bespoke Sapphire Blue paintwork from the factory and featuring the SSE livery – as showcased at the CV Show.

The vehicles will be used by the SSE team of engineers to maintain the electricity networks supplying homes and business across central southern England and north of the central Belt of Scotland.

Gemma Trew, fleet operations and development manager at SSE, said: “Working with Isuzu (UK) we were able to get a capable, durable, reliable and personalised pick-up that is geared directly to our specific needs. The Isuzu D-Max provides the power we need in the field.”

Neil Scott, Isuzu national fleet sales manager, added: “Working with the team at SSE and alongside Q.I Van Systems has meant we have been able to deliver a perfectly tailored solution to meet the needs of the customer. This is a good example of a great working partnership.”
