Marshall Fleet Solutions has promoted Stanley Backhouse as head of business stream for the company’s expanding tail lift division.
Previously business stream manager within the division, Backhouse will now replace Paul Townsend, who has left the company, and manages a department of over 70 staff nationwide at the Cambridge-based company. The role will see him focus on implementing and operating a profitable and sustainable operating model, whilst growing the business to capitalise on key market opportunities.
Backhouse originally joined Marshall Fleet Solutions in 2011 as service centre manager before taking on the role of business stream manager within the company’s tail lift business. Prior to working at MFS, he was branch sales manager at Dawson Rentals for 10 years and has also worked within the tyre industry in South Africa.
