Switch debuts new flexible vehicle rental solution

New vehicle rental brand Switch has launched a flexible mobility service called ‘MySwitch’.

The flexible mobility solution includes petrol and diesel cars and vans as well as fully electric vehicles

The adaptable mobility solution enables customers to swap cars and vans to suit their requirements, with contracts starting from just one month.

Available to large corporate firms, smaller businesses and consumers, MySwitch provides a wide selection of vehicles, from compact cars such as the latest Mini models to premium vehicles like the BMW X5, as well as a variety of vans. The line-up includes conventional petrol and diesels and also provides access to electric vehicles.

The ‘try before you buy’ service has been developed as part of Switch’s drive to provide more proactive vehicle rental solutions in the post-Covid economic environment.

Thrifty operator Scot Group launched the Switch brand in June this year, with the aim of bringing a more agile and proactive approach to vehicle rental. The business has already debuted short- and long-term rental solutions and the arrival of MySwitch bolsters its plans for further innovative mobility solutions.

Key benefits of MySwitch include a commitment from as little as one month and the ability to switch vehicles after three months. Contracts also include a 1,000- or 2,000-mile allowance per month, maintenance and road fund licence, breakdown cover and a refundable deposit.

Martin Wilson, managing director of Scot Group, said MySwitch offers drivers real flexibility and a huge choice of vehicles.

“What that means in practice is that you could choose a roomy estate car for the summer holidays, or a van if that better suits your needs, then switch to a commuting-capable SUV to handle winter road conditions.”

Switch is also anticipating demand for ‘MySwitch’ from those considering the move to an electric vehicle. The solution caters for customers who want an extended trial period to truly experience whether transitioning to an electric car or van works with their requirements.

MySwitch is available on the Switch website and has been integrated into the brand-new site currently under development.
