Tackle tool theft with new Gold Standard van security solution

A new van hooklock that can help businesses tackle the current tool theft epidemic has debuted from Van Guard Accessories.

The UltiLock is currently the only van hooklock to have achieved the Gold Standard security certification from Sold Secure

The UltiLock hooklock is the latest-generation solution from the van storage and security solution specialist and currently the only van hooklock to have achieved the Gold Standard security certification from Sold Secure.

To attain the accreditation, the hooklock was put through rigorous testing covering a number of popular break-in and brute force methods including: hammer and chisel, drill attack and snap as well as case manipulation.

The new UltiLock hooklock launches as businesses face increasing pressure to take action on tool theft.

It’s estimated that a van is broken into every 23 minutes in the UK and an average of £1,692 worth of tools stolen per break-in.

“Innovation is a long-established part of our DNA here at Van Guard and creating a product of this quality has been the result of a committed new product development programme spanning many months,” said Emlyn Harris, Van Guard’s commercial finance director.

“With every product we manufacture, we start by listening to the customers which ensures our new products will meet their precise requirements head on. We have focused on an all-encompassing process from product quality to fitting instructions to service delivery, with this the UltiLock Hooklock delivers on all fronts and gives our fitting partners the ability to fit a truly exceptional product with market-leading accreditation to back it up.”

To ensure optimum function and warranty, the hooklock will need to be installed by an approved fitter.
