Worldwide airport activity is back to near pre-pandemic levels, evidenced by new analysis of ground support vehicles.
An examination of telematics data spanning a large number of airports shows the level of activity in the first eight months of 2022 is at 81% of the levels observed during the same period in 2019.
The research was carried out by Targa Telematics, a leading global player in airport telematics amongst other fleet segments, which says the data supports a very positive trend line back to historic levels of activity. Activity this year particularly peaked in the months of April, May and June, when usage reached levels of 92%, 95% and 91% respectively of those seen in 2019.
