A logistics firm using tracking from Abax has managed to recover a stolen van on the same day the theft was notified.
The vehicle was taken from ATA Logistics over the bank holiday weekend and the team reported the incident on 20 September 2022 when they were given the live location of the van immediately after.
Marius Hojda, the company’s operations director, used the Live Chat function to talk with Abax and said he received the details of the vehicle’s whereabouts within a minute.
He added: “While we had someone on route to the location given, the operators on Live Chat were constantly giving us updates in case the vehicle was moving and thanks to Luke and Jessica, we got eyes on the van in minutes.
“Thank you again, it is highly appreciated what you’ve done for us today. 🙏”
The Oxfordshire-based logistics firm has been a customer of Abax for just over a year and is using telematics solutions to manage and protect its 500-strong vehicle fleet.
It’s the latest customer testimony to the benefits of using Abax. Suffolk-based courier firm QRIS Services reported benefits including significant fleet savings and in-depth vehicle tracking after switching to data-led insurance through the Abax–Zego combined offering.
