Toyota is bringing its full commercial vehicle range to this year’s IAA Transportation Hannover, showcasing a line-up ranging from small vans to large and including BEV, hydrogen and ICE powertrains.
With last month’s launch of the Proace Max, Toyota Professional reached a new milestone by entering the large van segment in Europe for the first time.
The newcomer builds on Toyota’s competitiveness in the compact- and medium-sized van market and means the automaker is now present in all important LCV market segments, giving a valuable tool to conquest sales from other OEMs.
The full line-up will be showcased at IAA at a 700m2 booth, and will include the new Proace Max, Proace, Proace City and upcoming Hilux Hybrid 48V.
Proace Max is available in a battery-electric version as well as diesel powertrains and delivers a wealth of conversion options. Among other things, dropside, chassis versions and tippers are available from the factory; further special adaptations can be made by certified converters.
Toyota also launched the updated, mid-size van Proace, the compact Proace City this year, along with the respective Verso passenger car variants, all of which debut a bold new family design.
The Hilux pickup will also gain a 48V hybrid system for the first time next year, which enhances efficiency while further improving driving performance, and offers a more comfortable drive in both urban and off-road environments.
Toyota’s hydrogen-based solutions for the transport industry will also be on display at IAA, including the fuel cell Hilux prototype, and fuel cell systems that can be provided to other OEMs for integration in trucks, buses or other means of transportation.
Kinto Mobility, Toyota Financial Services and Toyota Insurance Services complete the Toyota Professional offering and will also present their services at the Toyota stand.
IAA Transportation 2024 runs from 17 to 22 September at the Deutsche Messe in Hanover, Germany.
The Toyota on-stand press conference will be held on 16 September at 10.20am. On 17 September at 2.30pm, Toyota will also join an IAA Commercial Vehicle Talk in Room 12 of the Convention Center to discuss alternative drive systems for commercial vehicles.
