Iveco’s newly launched driver behaviour Daily Business Up app is already helping one van user to save money on their fuel costs.

Available on Google Play and the App Store, the Daily Business app – said to be a first in the LCV sector – syncs directly with the Iveco Daily to help drivers optimise driving style and reduce fuel consumption thanks to real-time driver feedback, without the need for a fixed device.

Also featured within the app is a professional navigation system by Sygic, which helps users find the best route to suit their vehicle’s precise dimensions, and provides real-time traffic alerts along the way. It also opens access to an interactive user handbook, giving easy access to all vehicle information and includes a dealer locator, plus a direct link to Iveco’s 24/7 roadside assistance service. Users can also track scheduled servicing and receive maintenance plan alerts to help reduce downtime.

For fleet operators, the app also enables a transport manager to schedule and dispatch jobs to drivers whilst they are on the road, making changes to and organising their precise delivery routes and schedules.

Fife builder David Shepherd – one of the first users – said the app is already saving him money at the pumps, adding: “It’s making my life so much easier and I’d recommend it to anyone.”
