Traffic commissioners to headline Logistics UK’s transport manager 2022 events

The Traffic Commissioners will once again headline at Logistics UK’s Transport Manager 2022 autumn conference series, providing delegates with latest guidance and priorities for the coming year.

Transport Manager 2022, which is sponsored by Brigade Electronics, will tour 10 venues around the UK from September to December 2022 and will also include a virtual event.

A Traffic Commissioner will be present at each of the locations, aside from Belfast, where there will be a presentation by David Mullan, head of the transport regulation unit.

Senior traffic commissioner Richard Turfitt commented: “In times of rapid change, the role of transport manager is ever more important. The Traffic Commissioners for Great Britain welcome the opportunity to engage with those CPC holders at Logistics UK’s Transport Manager conferences who are striving to exercise effective and continuous management and meet the current and future challenges in the industry.”

As well as the presentation by the Traffic Commissioner, the conference sessions will include the Transport Manager calendar, the Logistics UK compliance update, and sessions on vehicle in-service standards, managing safety technology and preparing your fleet for electrification. The programme for the Belfast event will differ slightly.

24 November – All Nations Centre, Wales

1 December – CBS Arena, Coventry

The conferences are also supported by Weightmans and WTW, and by Varta Clarios.

Tickets for Logistics UK members are £295 plus VAT for the first delegate and £275 plus VAT for subsequent delegates. For non-Logistics UK members, the cost is £395 plus VAT for the first delegate and £375 plus VAT for subsequent delegates. This price includes refreshments throughout the day.
