Work Management is part of Trimble's integrated suite of field service management solutions that also includes Fleet Management and Driver Safety. The technology is engineered to provide field services businesses with the resources they need to manage their mobile operations.
The software is available in two packages – Performance Insight which includes Performance Management Analytics to monitor efficiency, and Performance Optimize to plan, monitor and manage a mobile fleet.
Performance Management Analytics allows operations managers to look at regions, teams and even individual workers by job type and performance to gain insight into how to improve productivity.
Performance Optimize provides intelligent scheduling capabilities, a function that Trimble says can help to decrease drive time and mileage by up to 20% per job, ultimately leading to reduced fuel and vehicle use.
Performance Management Analytics capabilities are derived directly from the GPS feed of Trimble’s Fleet Management system to improve accuracy, so fleet managers can use this information to make intelligent decisions in real-time.
‘Field service organisations are constantly striving to be more efficient in managing their mobile workers,’ explained Mark Forrest, general manager of Trimble's Field Service Management Division.
‘In launching the next-generation Work Management solution, with its enhanced analytics and dispatch and task management capabilities, we can help organisations increase field productivity and flexibility to ultimately transform the way work is planned, allocated, managed, reported and evaluated. This can lead to lower operating costs, increased efficiencies and improved customer service-three key challenges in field service.
‘As business leaders examine how their organisation performs, they are exploring new and cost-effective ways to optimise efficiency and maximise productivity. Trimble's next-generation Work Management places the right information in the hands of the users when and where it is needed to enable accurate decision-making about the daily functions of the operation,’ he added.
