Truckman opens up Decked drawer storage solution to vans

Truckman has launched a new version of the Decked drawer storage solution that can be used on vans.

The Decked solution

Originally developed in the United States, Decked was introduced to the UK 18 months ago by Truckman as a robust pull-out drawer storage system for pick-up trucks.

Following strong interest from tradespeople and a number of enquiries from van users, Truckman has developed the system for use with the Citroën Relay, Fiat Ducato, Ford Transit and Peugeot Boxer models to provide secure and easy access to drawer contents while allowing full use of the van.

Featuring two bed-length drawers, which roll out to provide ergonomic access to tools and equipment and can carry 100kg each, Decked also offers further storage space with two integrated storage bins to hold smaller items such as fasteners and small tools.

The solution is manufactured using durable, 100%-recycled, High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) for rugged use; it can hold up to 1000kg on its raised deck, which is supported by a galvanised steel sub-frame to maximise of the van’s bed storage space.

Decked comes with a three-year warranty, requires minimal drilling to install and can be fitted a Truckman’s Fitting Centre in the West Midlands.

Mike Wheeler, executive chairman of Truckman, said: “This new version of Decked offers the same benefits as the pick-up truck model, with its high-quality build and practical storage options. It is extremely tough and can stand up to the challenges of working in industries like building and plumbing, giving van users a long-life, secure storage solution.”
