Updated Vauxhall Movano brings new driver safety features

Vauxhall has revealed its revised Movano large van, which goes on sale this summer with new driver assistance features and updated styling.

Updated Vauxhall Movano

Putting a keen focus on driver safety, the facelifted version debuts a rear-vision camera system that gives a live feed to a seven-inch touchscreen to help detect cyclists and pedestrians. Also new is a blind spot monitoring system, which uses ultrasonic sensors to detect objects in the blind spot and alert the driver with LED indicators in the corresponding mirror. A lane departure warning system is also available.

Side-Wind Assistant now comes as standard on all models and, in the event of cross winds, activates the Electronic Stability Programme to improve handling.

New onboard technologies include the Navi 5.0 IntelliLink Pro infotainment system, which features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, with the interior featuring a wireless charging point for smartphones.

The cabin also benefits from improved comfort features, including multi-adjustable seats with optional comfort seats for the driver and passengers. The Movano can also be ordered with an air-cushioned driver’s seat. In the cargo area, LED lighting aids use while new handles on the side-walls and pillars further improve convenience.

The Movano is available in four different lengths and three heights, carrying a maximum payload of up to 2110kg and 17m3 of cargo. Meanwhile Vauxhall’s approved conversions scheme gives access to 150 different versions of the Movano ex works.
