Upgraded Skyline telematics to monitor fuel, driver behaviour & environmental compliance

The latest version of the Skyline web platform – Skyline 7.5 – incorporates a number of key new features which greatly improve usability:

· Security: Users can now assign a security zone to an entire group of mobile assets, complete with email or SMS alerts, with just a few mouse clicks.

· Fleet Management: Skyline now provides a range of data that allows fleet managers to highlight inappropriate vehicle use or driving behaviour through a simple Key Performance Indicator (KPI) based format. This information can then be used to educate offenders.

· Fuel Management: This element is an entirely new addition to Skyline, allowing users to import data and produce fuel consumption figures on a per asset or fleetwide basis. A significant percentage of Enigma Telematics' development budget will be devoted to on-going development in the key areas of vehicle costing, driver behaviour and fuel management.

In parallel with the release of Skyline 7.5, Enigma's new version of its tablet app – Skyline Asset Tracking – is now available as a free download from the Apple app store.

Featuring access to key reports, vehicle location, routing and asset control, the app helps fleets to trace, track and monitor their mobile assets.

Tablet apps for Android and Windows devices will follow during the fourth quarter of 2013, with smartphone apps due for launch early in quarter one next year.

Enigma business development manager Simon Keam-George commented: ‘It is absolutely essential that we are able to empower our customers with information that enables them to achieve a return on investment. Our customers face daily challenges on key issues such as fuel, driver behaviour, security and environmental compliance.

‘Some of our customers are already achieving savings of 7% on fuel alone and a significant reduction in the number of accidents. Skyline 7.5 takes a further step forward in terms of ease of use and quality of data provided, allowing users to get more from the system, with less effort.’
