Van & truck fleet uses fleet tracking to reduce costs & boost efficiency

With over thirty years’ experience in the treatment of waste oils from various industry sources, Frogsons operates a fleet of vacuum and cargo tankers, as well as a range of vans, providing specialist oil recycling, recovery and reuse services to its clients, across the UK.

In 2014, Frogsons tripled the size of its Sheffield facility, including further investment in its fleet capabilities. As part of its ongoing expansion, the company has partnered with TRACKER to bring a new level of management information for its growing fleet, helping manage staff, deliveries and reduce transport costs.

Carl Arnold, transport manager for Frogsons Waste Management, commented: “Our fleet ranges from vans to 30,000 litre vacuum and cargo tankers, which meet strict regulations and form part of our 24-hour emergency call out service. Knowing the exact location of each driver and vehicle, including driver hours is a vital benefit for our business, helping us control costs and comply with industry best practice guidelines.

“TRACKER’s fleet management system allows us to monitor speeding, idling, mileage and customer transport costs, ensuring we can get the best out of our fleet and look after our drivers, who may be driving long distances. With TRACKER we can also give our clients accurate journey and delivery times, as well as controlling costs, benefiting our business and our customers.”

David Wilson, sales director of TRACKER, added: “Our partnership with Frogsons is a clear illustration of the value TRACKER’s fleet telematics solution provides businesses. Our system can be tailored to meet the specific needs of any organisation, with a flexibility that means it grows with the fleet. Frogsons wanted a solution that supports its current expansion by delivering bottom line savings. We will continue to work closely with Frogsons to ensure TRACKER Fleet continues to provide the telematics solutions it needs.”
