The year-to-date CV market was also up 10.9% at 294,991 units, keeping sales on track to top 300,000 units for first time in five years.
Vans rose 19.4% in November with 22,647 registrations, resulting in 11.7% growth over the year so far.
Truck demand also saw significant growth during the month, rising 39.3% and pushing year-to-date volumes to 44,867; 6.5% ahead of 2012.
‘The November commercial vehicle market rose 22.7%, continuing the strong upward momentum we've seen over the past four months,' said Mike Hawes, SMMT chief executive. 'With engine technology developments driving up the truck market, plus van owners and operators responding positively to this year's economic recovery, the sector is on course for its best performance in five years.’
