Van Excellence accreditation awarded to first independent ambulance service

AAMS works closely with local hospitals, primary care trusts and NHS ambulance trusts in the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire areas, and is a leading supplier of ambulance services across the UK.

Kieren Gibson, director at AAMS, said: “This accreditation, demonstrates to our clients, patients & suppliers, our dedication to excellence, by displaying auditable proof that we have the systems, policies, procedures and processes in place to keep our ambulance fleet operating at the highest standards possible. It will instil confidence in our clients and regulators that all our legal requirements such as MOTs, tax & insurances are all compliant and that all our servicing and safety inspection schedules are met and documented.”

Mark Cartwright, FTA’s head of vans and LCVs, added: “Congratulations to AAMS on achieving Van Excellence accreditation, highlighting the importance of safe and compliant operation in such a large and vital sector and the need for independent operators to be recognised as achieving the same high standards as their NHS counterparts.”
