Van Guard was the only manufacturing company to be shortlisted for the awards and took home the award for Innovation, in recognition of their its innovative product to date, the ULTI Rack. It also took the biggest prize of the night, Business of the Year.
The ULTI Rack uses a patented Click & Lock mechanism to make fitting quicker and easier and is said to be more than 37% lighter than rivals.
In addition all its products are manufactured in Britain at its Exeter base.
Mark Land, co-owner of Van Guard, said: “It is difficult to put into words what this means to us as a company. It is a fantastic achievement especially as we have won these awards in the year we celebrate our 40th anniversary. It is a massive affirmation of what we are doing and what we want to accomplish in the future.”
