Vauxhall slashes electric van prices in revamped LCV line-up

Vauxhall has announced full pricing and specification for its revamped and renewed LCV line-up – including significant price reductions on its electric vans.

Vauxhall’s updated van line-up delivers exterior and interior revisions, while also shaving prices for the electric variants by thousands of pounds

On sale now, the updated compact Combo, mid-size Vivaro and large Movano vans deliver exterior style revisions alongside a redesigned cockpit, while also shaving prices for the electric variants by thousands of pounds – and over £12k for the Movano Electric.

As with sister brand Peugeot’s newly revamped LCV line-up, the changes support an all-encompassing van reboot across the Stellantis group line-up as part of its recently launched commercial vehicle offensive.

Vauxhall’s updated van line-up kicks off with the revised Combo and Combo Electric, on sale in Prime and Pro designations. The duo are available in two lengths, with a choice of two or three front seats, and as a five-seat crew van.

The Combo Electric is now priced from £26,800 (incl. Plug-in Van Grant, excl. VAT) – saving £4,750 over the outgoing model. Powered by a 136hp electric motor, it now delivers increased WLTP range of 205 miles – 30 more than before – thanks to the arrival of a new 50kWh battery. It comes with a 7.4kW onboard charger as standard (a 11kW charger is optional), and the battery can be recharged from 0-80% in 30 minutes at a 100kW public charging station.

Storage space remains at 4.4m3 – the same as its combustion engine sibling – while the 780kg payload and the 750kg towing capacity are both best-in-class.

Diesel variants start from £21,920 (excl. VAT) and are powered either by a 100hp 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, or a 130hp variant with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic.

Entry-level Prime models come with DAB radio, Bluetooth and a smartphone interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Vauxhall Connect. Safety systems include advanced emergency braking, driver attention alert, intelligent speed assistance and lane keep assist. Comfort and convenience features deliver rear parking sensors, automatic lighting control with high beam assist and cruise control.

Pro trim adds the Multimedia Pro Navi infotainment system, complete with a 10-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation and natural voice recognition, and a larger 10-inch driver display. It also adds in the Dynamic Surround View system, using two cameras to display images of the rear and the side blind-spot in the new high-definition digital rear-view mirror.

Pro models also get the adaptive, glare-free Intelli-Lux Matrix LED, marking a segment first, along with 16-inch wheel trims, body-colour bumpers and door handles and black, power-folding door mirrors.

Finally, the FlexCargo Pack provides greater practicality with a load-through bulkhead, dual front passengers’ fixed bench seat, fold-flat centre seat backrest with table and two-way foldable outer seat.

Next up are the Vivaro and Vivaro Electric midsize vans. These are available in two lengths (4.98m and 5.33m), as a panel van, crew van/double-cab and a platform-chassis for a variety of body types. Depending on the version, the Vivaro offers up to 6.6m3 of cargo volume and 1.4 tonnes of payload.

The line-up includes the Vivaro Electric – the UK’s best-selling electric van in 2023 and due to go into limited production at Vauxhall’s Luton manufacturing plant from spring 2025.

It’s now priced at £37,805 (incl. Plug-in Van Grant, excl. VAT), representing a saving of £2,580 over the outgoing 75kWh model.

The new version delivers a WLTP range of up to 217 miles, up by 12 miles over the outgoing model. The 75kWh battery can be charged using the standard 7.4kW onboard charger (an 11kW charger is optional), while a 5-80% charge takes 45 minutes at a 100kW public charger.

The Vivaro Electric also comes with the ‘e-Power Take-off Unit’, which can be used to supply smaller tools or fridge units for cooled vans with power from the traction battery.

The line-up also includes three diesel variants, priced from £28,625 (excl. VAT). These start with the 120hp 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, and also offer a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine in two states of tune – 145hp or 180hp. The former comes with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, with the more powerful variant available exclusively as an automatic.

As with the Combo, the Vivaro line-up spans Prime and Pro grades. Standard across both are a 10-inch HD touchscreen with wireless smartphone mirroring and Vauxhall Connect, plus voice recognition, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster.

Prime trim comes with a full-height steel bulkhead, rear parking sensors, intelligent speed assistance, lane keep assist and driver attention alert. Pro trim adds Dynamic Surround View, which includes a digital rear view mirror and passenger side camera, blind spot detection, flank guard detection of fixed obstacles, a 180-degree rear parking camera and front and rear parking sensors.

The Pro grade also adds in an upgraded infotainment system with satellite navigation, Eco LED headlights and front fog lights. Design upgrades include 17-inch steel wheels with full-diameter wheel trims (or optional 17-inch alloy wheels), body-colour front and rear bumpers, side-mouldings and door handles.

It also delivers the FlexCargo load-through bulkhead, power-folding door mirrors and fold-flat centre seat backrest.

The Movano and Movano Electric large vans share many of the upgrades among their smaller siblings – and the electric variant now cuts pricing to £46,135 (L3H2 panel van – incl. Plug-in Van Grant, excl. VAT). That’s a whopping saving of £12,350 compared to the outgoing model.

The largest van in Vauxhall’s LCV line-up is available in three heights, as well as panel van, window van, chassis double-cab, platform and back-to-back versions, with up to 17m3 of cargo volume and a payload of up to two tonnes.

The Movano Electric comes with a new 110kWh battery, able to cover up to 261 miles (WLTP) on a single charge and equipped as standard with a three-phase 11kW onboard charger. It is also the first Vauxhall capable of charging at 150kW from a DC rapid charger, enabling a 0-80% charge in just 55 minutes.

It’s powered by an electric motor producing 272hp and 400Nm of torque – increases of 150hp and 140Nm over its predecessor.

Movano customers will be able to choose from another zero-tailpipe emissions option from later this year, with orders for the Movano Hydrogen set to open in Q4 ahead of first deliveries in 2025. The hydrogen fuel cell vehicle will offer a range of up to 311 miles (WLTP) and can be refuelled in approximately five minutes.

Diesel models are priced from £32,285 (L2H1 panel van) and include a variant with a 140hp 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine, paired with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox, and a 180hp version with the automatic gearbox.

The Movano and Movano Electric are available exclusively in Prime grade. Onboard equipment includes a 10-inch touchscreen with a fully integrated TomTom satellite navigation system, voice recognition and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Electric models are also equipped with Vauxhall Connect and a seven-inch digital instrument cluster. The diesel Movano features a five-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and DAB radio, combined with a 3.5-inch driver information display.

The Movano Electric also comes with keyless entry and go, an electronic parking brake and automatic air conditioning.

Standard safety features on the Movano include a rear-view parking camera, rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition and intelligent speed assist.

It’s also capable of level two autonomous driving for the first time (available on automatic models in conjunction with specific option packs). The combination of adaptive cruise control with ‘Stop & Go’ function, lane positioning assist and traffic jam assist enables the Movano to steer, brake and accelerate itself at speeds up to 18mph – for example in slow traffic – provided that the driver’s hands remain on the steering wheel.

Orders for the new Vauxhall LCV range are open now. Delivery dates vary by model and trim, with the first vehicles being delivered from spring.
