Verizon Connect launches new engine diagnostics tool for LCVs

Verizon Connect has developed a new LCV tool that collects data directly from a vehicle’s engine to help provide valuable diagnostics data.

The solution monitors for vehicle diagnostic trouble code alerts while also tracking data such as fuel consumption and miles travelled

Designed to monitor for potential vehicle issues, Engine Connect analyses critical data directly including fuel usage, distance travelled and diagnostics, customers are able to get a complete view of vehicle performance. By combining data with GPS location, helping to prevent mechanical problems and maximise vehicle uptime.

Particular benefits include the ability to identity speeding and idling events, enabling fleets to provide targeted training to drivers, and to capture accurate odometer readings. The solution can also automatically receive diagnostic trouble code (DTC) alerts when problems are detected.

“Engine Connect gives fleet managers a complete view of their vehicles performance, enabling them to identify potential vehicles’ issues before they become costly,” said Derek Bryan, vice president, EMEA at Verizon Connect. “With a better understanding of vehicle performance, we can help customers save time and money in the future and provide them with peace of mind knowing their vehicles are running optimally.”
