The Volkswagen Amarok is now available with a new 163hp 3.0-litre TDI diesel, bringing basic pricing down to £24,510.
Joining the range under the existing 204hp and 224hp variants, the new unit delivers 450Nm of torque and is married up to a six-speed manual gearbox and selectable 4Motion four-wheel drive. It brings a 3,200kg GVW, a maximum payload rating of 1,073kg and can tow up to 3,000kg (braked trailer). It is capable of reaching 62mph from rest in just 9.8 seconds and has a top speed of 110mph. CO2 emissions are 228g/km, while fuel consumption on the combined cycle is 32.5mpg.
Available in Trendline trim only, the new engine comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, Climatronic air-con, Composition Media Radio with 6.33-inch touch screen, App-Connect and cruise control.
The new Trendline V6 3.0 TDI 163hp model is also included in Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ scrappage scheme with a £2,000 incentive on offer.
The Amarok Trendline V6 3.0 TDI 163hp is available to order now with first deliveries expected in May.
