Volkswagen’s complete range of lightweight commercial vehicles for work and leisure time will be on show, including Amorak, Caddy, Crafter and T5 model series.
‘We want to show our customers an unrivalled variety of mobility solutions for goods and passenger transportation,’ explained Bram Schot, chairman of the management board of the brand.
‘The commercial vehicle business is just as diversified as its customers, who come from all trades and service sectors in our industry. In addition, public authorities, the police, fire brigades and municipalities make up an important part of our buyers.’
This year's IAA show continues a market trend. City delivery vehicles, vans and pickups are becoming lighter, more efficient and more economical. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles are presenting innovations in all model series with special focus on powerful drive systems with improved fuel economy. Light commercial vehicles with eco-efficient BlueMotion Technology or with EcoFuel natural gas engines are an integral part of the model range.
The e-Load up!, which will be seen for the first time on the stand, is Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles' debut to introduce the electrification of its model series. It offers practical solutions for inner-city, zero-emission delivery or customer service traffic. The e-Load up! is presented as a ready-for-market vehicle. Equipped with a zero-emission electric drive, it is designed for courier or servicing traffic on repeated daily routes up to 100 kilometres.
