Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is supporting Logistics 4 U with a dedicated on-call mobile service team to help keep its vans on the road and to continue delivering vital products amid the Covid-19 crisis.
Logistics 4 U runs a fleet of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles to complete deliveries on behalf of DPD Local, providing a vital service, in particular during the current outbreak.
To help keep these vans on the road, Breeze Motor Group, which has Van Centres in Portsmouth, Poole and Southampton, has dedicated one of its Mobile Service Clinics to be permanently on-call for the delivery firm, with other technicians on emergency standby.
The Mobile Service Clinic is a specially converted Volkswagen Crafter, kitted out with an array of on-board tools including compressed air jacks and even a hand wash basin.
Technicians operating the Mobile Service Clinic are able to carry out service work, inspections, repairs and software updates, allowing any issues to be resolved quickly and efficiently, minimising the time the van spends off the road and increasing time spent completing vital deliveries.
Claire English, head of fleet at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “We’re delighted Breeze Motor Group has committed to supporting its local key workers and is helping keep DPD Local and a number of major delivery workers on the road.”
She added: “We’re proud to stand by our Working With You promise and are doing everything we can to support our fleet customers who are out delivering vital products and services to those in-need during the Covid-19 crisis.”
