New derivatives of the new Volkswagen Crafter are now on sale, joining the existing front-wheel drive panel vans.

The Crafter line-up now includes open-body derivatives as well as panel vans with all-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and eight-speed auto.

Due to start delivery before the end of 2017, the latest additions include panel van models with 4MOTION all-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The line-up also now includes open body models in single and double cab variants, opening the door to conversions via Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ Recognised Converter scheme, including for Luton, dropside and tipper models as well as other adaptations.

Further derivatives will continue to join the line-up in 2018, including a 122hp engine which will join the current 102, 140 and 177hp 2.0-litre TDI engine options.

Prices for the entry-level panel van start at £24,640 (basic RRP ex VAT), rising to £30,385 for the eight-speed automatic gearbox, £30,590 for rear-wheel drive and £34,145 for 4MOTION four-wheel drive.
