The vehicle is characterised by the PanAmericana badge at the rear and on the B-pillar, the fins on the radiator grille and the styling line above the side sill in Flash Red and black. Wheel arch mouldings and flared side sills underscore the vehicle's sporty image.
Interior features include decorative strips on the seats in white and carbon look that are colour coordinated with the exterior paint, combined with the rugged 'Clip' upholstery for the middle seat panels and white contrasting stitching. Aluminium diamond plate instead of the carpeted floor in the passenger compartment reinforces the vehicle’s rugged character.
That is because this edition being shown for the first time in Frankfurt was made for a target group of motorcycle racers who want to conveniently transport their superbikes over long distances to their favourite courses. Volkswagen hopes that they will find that this chic version of the Multivan – combined with the necessary electric load ramp and interior mounting hooks – is ideal for their next (racing) adventure.
The latest generation Transporter and Caravelle are on sale in the UK now. There are no plans to bring this concept to the UK market.
