Included within the address will be the organisation’s proposals for “new ways of working with the industry”, and how transport managers can apply best practice in order to avoid becoming targets of enforcement.
FTA policy experts will also be on hand to provide guidance and best practice advice about future legislation and enforcement changes, before delegates are given the opportunity to take part in an interactive quiz session compiled by FTA’s Member Advice Centre (MAC).
Delegates will also hear from industry experts including event sponsor, Goodyear, who will report on the recent Transport Manager Survey into challenges faced on a day-to-day basis by the freight sector.
Adam Stanton, commercial marketing manager at Goodyear, commented: ‘We are delighted to be sponsoring the FTA Transport Manager series for the third year in a row. With the series focusing on delivering safe, sustainable and efficient logistics it is the perfect opportunity for us to show how Goodyear helps fleets to deliver in these three areas. We are also using the events to highlight how tyres can help to not only improve the efficiency of fleets in terms of fuel usage and environmental impact, but also assist in delivering a reduction in operational cost.'
The Transport Manager series will be on the road throughout the UK from September to December 2013.
