Whistl gains Logistics UK Van Excellence operator accreditation

Logistics company Whistl has secured accreditation as a Logistics UK Van Excellence operator for the second year.

The certification is independently audited against the Van Excellence Code set of industry-developed standards and demonstrates Whistl’s commitment to safer, more efficient fleet operation.

Van Excellence aims to help operators improve standards within their operations and become recognised for these high standards.

The scheme has been developed by Logistics UK, along with many of the UK’s best van operators, and breaks down into four main areas: vehicles, drivers, safe working practices and record keeping.

The benefits of the accreditation include adherence with current legislation and best practice and reduced corporate and operational risk. Accredited operators also gain cost savings through adopting best practice procedures and improved operational efficiency with increased driver competence.

Nick Wells, executive chairman at Whistl, said: “Well done to our transport team for securing reaccreditation for the Logistics UK Van Excellence Operator scheme. It is an important scheme to ensure that our fleet operates to the highest of standards.”
