The new iBeacon solution has been designed to offer complete, accurate automatic mileage capture without driver input. Using Bluetooth LE communication between the vehicle and a driver’s iPhone, it starts and stops recording for each journey, if the iPhone is switched on.
Drivers can use classic Bluetooth, for other applications, at the same time. The tiny fit-and-forget hardware sits anywhere in the vehicle. Without driver interaction, forgetting or mis-recording journeys becomes impossible.
