The deal – effective until 2020 – covers windscreen repair, fleet checks and ADAS calibrations for more than 3,700 commercial vehicles and 400-plus company cars.

The deal was awarded following a competitive tender process that highlighted a significant improvement in response time from Autoglass compared to rivals.

The tender process also showcased the effectiveness of the Autoglass team who centrally manage the day-to-day requirements of the account while the tender response also set out significant improvements in quality, which will impact the total cost of ownership, and vehicle downtime due to operational benefits.

Eleanor Biddiscombe, procurement director, Wincanton, said: “We have a large mixed fleet spread across the UK and required a supplier who could offer us unquestionable service levels across the length and breadth of the UK, whilst providing excellent insight in to the management of our fleet windscreen repairs through their reporting capability. This level of support allows us to focus on improving our operations and offers our customers increased service levels. This, along with being a technological market leader and offering expertise throughout their whole team, was a key factor in our decision to award Autoglass the contract.”
