Vanarama has announced the winners of its Van Hero Awards 2017, with a cupcake design company, a duo of singing sisters and a team-building company recognised for their work.
Now in their second year, the awards are intended to recognise the contributions made by the UK’s van driving businesses, including Scott and Jennifer Logan of Stella Pumpkin Cake Design, who were crowned Vanarama Van Hero 2017 for their outstanding customer service and selfless work with their local community and charities.
The Poppy Sisters – two singing sisters who visit care homes to perform classic songs – took the Vanarama Community Hero Award while the Customer Services Hero award went to Mark Jones of Team Building With BITE, who runs corporate team-building workshops in zoos and sanctuaries building items for animals.
Andy Alderson, CEO and founder of Vanarama, said: “The entries we get continue to inspire and amaze. There are so many entrepreneurial van drivers out there, building solid businesses and making an enormously positive impact on their local communities to boot. A real credit to the van-driving population.”
