Citroën announces new head of commercial vehicles

Smith takes over from Scott Michael, who is leaving Citroën to join Motability Operations as conversions & adaptations relationship manager, and is appointed as the brand looks to launch a number of new products and services for its Business Centre network.

Smith commented: ‘I am very pleased to be appointed as head of commercial vehicles & business centre operations. LCVs and our Business Centre network are playing a key role in Citroën's growing success with fleet operators and Small, Medium Enterprises, which are the backbone of the UK economy. Citroën LCV sales for January have seen the brand take a record market share in the up to 3.5 tonne GVW sector and we will be launching new products and services in our Business Centre network to maintain this progress.’

Currently head of sales programmes for Citroën in the UK, Smith brings 21 years' of experience with the brand to his new role. He has worked in a variety of fleet and retail sales roles, as well as finance, product marketing and Retail Group positions.

The brand added that it will shortly be announcing the appointment of a commercial vehicle & business programmes manager, which is a newly created role.
