Daniel Fitzjohn has been appointed as the new managing director of Motus Commercials, Europe’s largest DAF Trucks dealer group.

He takes over the position from Matt Lawrenson, who is stepping into a new role as the chief executive officer of Motus Group (UK). Motus Commercials operates as a core division of the group, alongside several sister companies across the automotive retail, transport and fleet management sectors.

Fitzjohn brings a wealth of internal company experience to the role, having initially joined Motus Commercials in 2018 as the regional director for the southwest region. He spent the last 12 months operating as the company’s commercial director before receiving this latest promotion to the helm of the business.

Lawrenson said, “I am confident Daniel will continue to grow Motus Commercials, support the development of our outstanding colleagues and keep customer service excellence as our top priority.”

Fitzjohn said: “I have some very big shoes to fill and am delighted to be given this huge opportunity and am looking forward to getting into the business.

“As DAF Trucks biggest dealer group, we won’t be standing still and expect to continue our growth journey. So, with a terrific team already in place, I will be looking to continue to improve our offering and growth across the business.
