The firm previously used a different rental supplier but has now signed an agreement for a fleet of Europcar commercial vehicles on long-term hire, which have been liveried with the Eversmart Energy brand.

Managing director Barney Cook said the firm was looking for a vehicle rental partner that could provide flexible and cost-effective transport solutions, enabling it to expand its operations without the financial and operational commitment of vehicle ownership.

Cook continued: “As a growing business, we want to stay agile and able to adapt as our customer needs change. We, therefore, wanted to avoid outright vehicle purchase or leasing which would lock us into the same fleet for a period of time. Instead, we believe that long-term vehicle hire gives us the flexibility to mobilise our team of 40 engineers.

“We needed to find a partner that could not only deliver a competitive price, but could also adapt as our business needs change. Europcar gave us the confidence that it would offer the flexibility we needed, providing a fleet of liveried vans that feature all the latest motoring technology to keep our engineers on the road. And, importantly, Europcar’s long-term hire service means we haven’t had to tie up capital in vehicle acquisition, meaning we can expand and change our fleet requirements as the business grows without incurring any financial penalties.”
