Training provider Fleet Source has augmented its Terrorism Risk and Incident Prevention (TRIP) suite of products and training services with new policy and procedure packs.
Launched last autumn and aimed at van fleets as well as HGV operations, the ‘TRIP’ solution is intended to help operators minimise the risk of being affected by terrorism following the recent rise of VAAW (Vehicle as a Weapon) terrorism-related incidents. Last month’s BVRLA Parliamentary Reception saw the association highlight counter-terrorism as a key issue for the rental and leasing industry in 2018.
Fleet Source’s TRIP solution now includes policy and procedure packs, which can support fleet operators in embedding a robust counter-terrorism strategy into the heart of their day-to-day operations.
The packs cover:
- Protective security and managing the risks
- Roles and responsibilities
- TRIP procedures
- Related policies and procedures
- Terrorism threat levels
- TRIP risk assessment
- Raising TRIP awareness
- Vehicle security
- Theft prevention and hijack procedure
- Vehicle borne
- Improvised explosive devices
- Identifying suspicious people
- Bomb threat record card
- Actions in the event of a suspicious device
- Actions in the event of a direct attack
Also included in the Policy and Procedure packs are six toolbox talks:
- Vehicle security, theft prevention and hijack procedure
- Vehicle borne improvised explosive devices
- Identifying suspicious people
- Bomb threat procedure
- Actions in the event of a suspect device
- Actions in the event of a direct attack
Fleet Source will donate £25 for every TRIP Policy & Procedure Pack sold to the UK Solidarity Fund, established by the British Red Cross following the terror attacks in Manchester and London to support those affected by these events and similar events in the future in the UK.
