Fraikin goes the extra mile with Aubrey Allen fleet deal

Aubrey Allen delivers nationwide daily to some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in the UK, not to mention Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, which the company also proudly lists as part of its customer portfolio and for which it has recently been awarded a Royal Warrant.

Deliveries are made before the start of operations each day with vehicles often setting off in the early hours of the morning. In total the company makes over 200 deliveries a day six days a week.

Historically all the company’s vehicles, apart from two that it has purchased outright, have been sourced from a single provider. However after speaking with Fraikin, Aubrey Allen signed up to move half the fleet.

The contract with Fraikin, which is for 42 months, is for five Mercedes Sprinter refrigerated vehicles and includes full maintenance with an added facility of providing an additional vehicle and driver in times of peak. Fraikin will also manage all compliance issues.

Each vehicle, which will display the Royal Warrant, will be maintained on a proactive basis based on mileage used. Fraikin will log the mileage monthly in order to gauge usage and regulate servicing. Fraikin is also providing breakdown cover nationwide, 24 hours a day, co-ordinated from its breakdown centre at Oldbury, West Midlands, and will also supply replacement vehicles.

Wayne Holmes, operations manager, Aubrey Allen, commented: ‘The size and infrastructure of the Fraikin operation enables them to react quickly and their emphasis on customer service gave us total peace of mind.

‘Furthermore the fact that their Oaktree workshop facility is also based in Coventry was an added bonus.’
