Iveco UK unveils shortlist for 2026 Mission Awards

Iveco UK has unveiled the full LCV shortlist for its 2026 Mission Awards, celebrating operators running commercial vehicles that meet the toughest operational challenges.

Launched in 2021, the awards programme recognises standout fleets operating vehicles to tackle unique missions, as evaluated by a panel of expert judges. The competition will culminate in a black-tie event at the Belfry Hotel and Resort in Birmingham, where the final 12 specialised contenders will find out who has taken top honours.

The Iveco Mission Awards hosts four key categories: Construction & Utilities, Grounds Maintenance & Waste Management, Alternative Fuels, Delivery & Distribution. The line-up also includes additional awards for Bodybuilder of the Year, an overall Mission Awards winner and, for the first time, an impressive shortlist for Specialist Vehicles.

Mike Cutts, managing director of Iveco UK, said: “The Iveco Mission Awards have become a pillar of the commercial vehicle calendar, and 2026’s shortlist is a perfect example of why. Twelve very different and highly specialised LCVs, all ideal for the missions they undertake. A huge congratulations to our finalists, and we’ll see you at The Belfry!”

The shortlisted LCVs, operators, and supplying dealers for the Iveco Mission Awards 2026 are:

Construction & Utilities

Valley Water Services – Glenside Commercials

Valley Water Services, a water and utility specialist founded in 2006, added an Iveco Daily 70C18H Hotbox, with Dragon Fabrication bodywork, to its 120-strong fleet. Supplied by Glenside Commercials, it’s already impressed Mission Awards judges with its total cost of ownership credentials plus highly tailored vehicle and bodybuild specifications.

Pressure Force UK – Guest Truck & Van

Built for off-grid work, Pressure Force UK’s Iveco Daily 72C21 pairs a 210hp 3.0-litre engine and ZF eight-speed gearbox with a Spojkar twin sleeper cab. With recycled plastic flooring that cuts weight by 40%, Mission Awards judges loved its sustainability focus and striking bespoke build developed by Guest Truck & Van.

Grounds Maintenance & Waste Management

Cheshire Demolition – North East Truck and Van

After more than 40 years in demolition, excavation and recycling, Cheshire Demolition bought its first Iveco: a Daily 70C18H skip loader with a 180hp engine, Hi-Matic gearbox and VDL Equipment UK body. Mission Awards judges hailed the unique 7.2-tonne application that sets a standard for future missions.

Myerscough College – Walton Summit

Once a cheesemaking school, 130-year-old Myerscough College now teaches arboriculture with the support of an Iveco Daily 4×4 7-tonne crew cab. Complete with aluminium dropside body, generator-powered Hiab crane and a towbar to take advantage of the Daily’s 3.5-tonne towing capacity, it earned Mission Awards judges’ applause as a textbook example of a tailored, rugged Daily application.

Newport Council – Glenside Commercials

Newport Council’s 21st Iveco eDaily, a 42S14E caged tipper crew cab, carries seven operatives, charges overnight via 22kW AC and hosts a Dragon Fabrications body made of lightweight, recyclable materials. Glenside Commercials matched it to the council’s needs, and Mission Awards judges praised its mission-focused selection as the authority is close to operating an all-electric fleet.

Alternative Fuels

Access Hire – Northern Commercials

Piloting electrification across its fleet, welfare hire specialist Access Hire has added 10 two-battery 4.25-tonne Iveco eDaily vans. Lyndon Systems fitted six seats, a canteen and WC, alongside full Chapter 8 livery to convert it to full welfare specification. Supplied by Northern Commercials, Mission Awards judges commended precise specification for demanding missions.

EVM Direct – Iveco Retail

Comfort, style and safety drive premium minibus builder EVM UK, whose 28-seat Iveco eDaily features a lightweight, fully demountable composite body, which is built to M3 homologation standards. Mission Awards judges praised the Iveco Retail-supplied minibus for strong TCO, second-life bodybuild thinking and safety.

Delivery & Distribution

North South Retail – North East Truck & Van

Summer’s over, but North South Retail keeps ice cream reaching shops across Ireland in its Iveco Daily 70C18HA8, which features a Business Pack cab and reusable 10-compartment Cofi Europe freezer body. Supplied by North East Truck & Van, it’s earned Mission Awards judges’ praise for practical sustainability and a reusable body.

Johnsons Hotel Linen – South West Truck & Van

Serving 200,000-plus hotel rooms daily, Johnsons Hotel Linen has swapped two 7.5-tonne trucks for two 7.2-tonne Iveco Daily models, which provide 4.9-tonne payloads for this weight-hungry mission.

Tiger Trailers built the bodies complete with VPG onboard weighing equipment to keep the vehicles compliant at all times. Supplied by South West Truck & Van on a five-year R&M contract, the vans have earned Mission Awards judges’ acclaim for mission-first efficiency.

Wilson James – Acorn Trucks

At Heathrow’s Consolidation Centre, employee-owned Wilson James now runs a zero-emission Iveco eDaily 42S14E with 22kW charging, equipped with a Bodywork Solutions curtainside body, cantilever platform and Trailar solar panels. Acorn Trucks supplied this vehicle, and Mission Awards judges commended its blend of electric urban logistics, construction expertise and operational fit.

Specialist Vehicles

Wiltshire Council – South West Truck & Van

Wiltshire Council’s two zero-emission Iveco eDaily 7.2-tonne mobile libraries bring 2,000-plus items to communities countywide. Supplied by South West Truck & Van, and built by Torton Bodies, they offer over 200 miles’ range and are equipped with a solar-assisted wheelchair lift and toilet. Mission Award judges praised a vehicle that goes above and beyond for the benefit of the community.

County Durham and Darlington Fire & Rescue – North East Truck & Van

Built for river rescue, this Iveco Daily 7-tonne panel van replaces a 7.5-tonne vehicle without compromising capability or manoeuvrability, complete with its Hi-Matic gearbox and a diff lock for greater off-road performance. Emergency One’s body also accommodates a quick-inflation dinghy and ropes. Feedback from judges lauded the highly specialised approach to a unique application.
