Marshall Leasing has extended its long-standing partnership with BCF Wessex by deploying its Gensen Vans software platform, boosting its ability to provide whole-life cost guidance for light commercial vehicles.
The new platform will support Marshall Leasing’s sales teams with providing clear, evidence-based guidance on van funding and selection
The new platform will support Marshall Leasing’s sales teams and consultants in helping customers understand the true cost of operating different LCVs, strengthening its ability to provide clear, evidence-based guidance on van funding and selection.
Gensen Vans incorporates lease-or-buy and whole-life cost calculators designed specifically for light commercial vehicles. These incorporate a range of factors affecting vans, such as corporation tax and VAT rules, enabling users to look beyond headline rental or purchase prices and compare the financial implications of different vehicles and funding approaches.
Users can also compare similar vans side by side, helping leasing companies and brokers to demonstrate the commercial case for particular vehicles and to support customers as they assess an increasingly varied range of petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric van options.
The rollout marks the latest development in a partnership between the two businesses that stretches back to 2012, when BCF Wessex advised Marshall Leasing on the launch of its inaugural salary sacrifice proposition. Consultancy and training support continued in the years that followed, before Marshall Leasing relaunched salary sacrifice using Gensen Salary Sacrifice in 2023.
Marshall Leasing subsequently adopted Gensen Cars for whole-life cost modelling and has now extended its use of the software suite to include Gensen Vans.
Jeff Whitcombe, founder of BCF Wessex, said deploying Gensen Vans adds another important capability to Marshall Leasing’s proposition.
“From a BCF Wessex perspective, working with an experienced leasing company such as Marshall Leasing gives us valuable insight into the needs of customers and sales teams, helping us shape Gensen in a changing market,” he continued.
The firms’ partnership will develop further over the rest of 2026, with Marshall Leasing working directly with BCF Wessex to pilot forthcoming enhancements to Gensen Salary Sacrifice. These include CRM integration and a series of enhancements that will improve the usability and reporting available to Marshall Leasing’s sales and marketing team.
Ric Baird, sales director at Marshall Leasing, said: “Our work with Jeff, Ike and the BCF Wessex team has developed into one of our key strategic partnerships, underpinned by shared goals and open communication that helps us continually develop our proposition.
“The deployment of Gensen Vans is another important step in strengthening the support we provide to customers, while pioneering the next phase of Gensen Salary Sacrifice will ensure we continue to respond to the evolving vehicle leasing needs of our customers and their employees.”
