Matt Dyer appointed new managing director of LeasePlan

The move follows the departure of former LeasePlan UK MD David Brennanwho has joined Nexus as its next CEO.

Dyer has been commercial director for over four years and has been with LeasePlan for over 18 years. In this time, he has worked for LeasePlan UK, LeasePlan Corporation and LeasePlan International, where he was managing director until late 2009.

In his new role he will head up LeasePlan UK’s business, working closely with the leadership team at LeasePlan Corporation to continue strong strategic growth across the business. The company currently operates 136,000 fleet vehicles in the UK, including 37,000 commercial vehicles.

Vahid Daemi, global CEO of LeasePlan, said: ‘LeasePlan UK’s strong track record is testimony to the commitment to our customers and a great team. I am sure Matt will use these foundations to lead the UK business to continued success in the future.’

Dyer added: ‘I am hugely excited to start my new role. I’m confident that my extensive previous experience within the business will stand me in good stead to drive LeasePlan UK’s strong performance to the next level.

‘Customer service across all four of our brands in the UK will remain the utmost priority for the business and we continue to deliver market leading propositions based on the specific needs of each segment we serve.’
