Maxus will showcase its updated commercial vehicle line-up and advanced bidirectional charging solutions at the upcoming IAA Transportation 2026 expo in Hannover.
Operating under its core ethos, ‘Maximize your business’, the company will highlight its evolution from a pure commercial vehicle manufacturer into an all-encompassing service and mobility provider.
A key focus of the trade fair appearance is the updated model range for model year 2027. Maxus will introduce a broad product and powertrain matrix, ranging from efficient combustion and hybrid drives to fully electric vans and pickups. The revised portfolio offers fleet operators tailored transport solutions that deliver advanced functionality, modern equipment and optimised total cost of ownership (TCO).
Moving beyond simple transport, the brand will demonstrate the immediate, tangible benefits of Smart Charging solutions that are ready for deployment today.
By integrating bidirectional charging (vehicle-to-load / vehicle-to-building / vehicle-to-grid), commercial vehicles transform into active energy storage units. Fleet operators will be able to leverage these technologies to feed power back into the grid or support building infrastructures during peak tariff hours, turning parked fleet assets into revenue generators.
These deliver a variety of economic advantages: operational peak loads are shaved, self-consumption of solar power is maximised and energy costs for the entire fleet are noticeably reduced. The live demonstration by Maxus will also showcase concrete use cases for tradespeople, who can power their power tools off-grid, directly from the vehicle battery.
The showcase will also serve as a window into the future of freight and logistics. Maxus will present its long-term vision for sustainable transport networks, which includes an expanded outlook on heavy electric commercial vehicles capable of handling long-haul logistics. Additionally, the brand will exhibit its progress in autonomous transport solutions, aimed at streamlining hub-to-hub efficiency and addressing ongoing driver shortages across the logistics sector.
Official presentations by Maxus management will take place on 14 September 2026, from 11:30 to 11:50am directly at the exhibition stand.
