Mercedes-Benz Citan Sport proves perfect partner for Starlight Dance Floors

Founded in 2010 by director Adam Hetherington and his father David, the firm supplies a comprehensive range of portable dance floors, along with staging, sound production and lighting equipment. It also offers professional DJs for hire.

Starlight Dance Floors already runs a pair of 3.5-tonne Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, which are used to carry equipment for big jobs but said it also needed a vehicle for client meetings, site visits and smaller hires.

Adam Hetherington said that he spotted the Citan Sport arriving at East Anglia Dealer Orwell Truck & Van and bought it before they’d even cleaned and prepared it.

He added: “I couldn’t be happier with my new Mercedes-Benz. It’s comfortable, very economical, and the perfect size for running into and out of London. Plus, of course, it looks fantastic!”

The Citan is the smallest model in the Mercedes-Benz Vans range and the Long-bodied Sport variant, which was launched earlier this year, features a number of visual enhancements, including colour-coded bumpers and door mirrors, daytime driving lights, a chrome front-grille, sidebars and tailgate trim, and 16-inch, multi-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, meanwhile, Citan Sport customers ride in air-conditioned comfort, and also get a leather-trimmed steering wheel, Sports mats and badging.
